I agree with dnn on making

I agree with dnn on making the active topics to show more... only takes a minute for new posts to rearrange the order and even a brand new topic will go off the radar quickly...   the new topic is a great feature to follow the "hot" topics but adding more room to show on the main page would help....  thanks to Pharmer for a great site....

I think moving the PM

I think moving the PM function to another spot on the page is a good idea.  It's really hard to see where its at.  Some people didn't even know that there was a PM function.  Now that I know where to look, it's just second nature, but I think it would be used more if it was in a more prominent spot on the page...Ray

Has the idea of adding a

Has the idea of adding a little personal section to your profile ever been tossed around, just a section where you can write what ever you'd like for anyone to view that you don't mind making public knowledge. I think it might be beneficial so that you might know the story behind someone's knowledge or advice, if they wish to share that information.

I know in my case, if someone asks me what I did to injure my self, which I don't mind more or less any one reading, I have to pretty much write a book, starting with my age, when it happened, blah blah blah blah blah... It would be nice to have in one place, for people to use if they wanted to, for both ease and I think some is not most of the advice here is better taken when you know who its coming from.

Update

So far we have changed the following:

  1. Posters can no longer edit or delete the starting post in each thread
  2. Posters can no longer edit or delete images
  3. The listing for Active Forum Topics has been increased from 5 to 7 topics.

We'll continue making changes, but the software does limit our ability to add all of your suggestions.

We'll allow a few days between each change to make sure that particular change doesn't mess up other features.  We know you want a spell checker, but the technical person can't get it to work without messing up other features in the forum text box.

The only thing I don't like

The only thing I don't like about not being able to edit the first post in a thread is that i'm a perfectionist and invariably I ALWAYS find an error, spelling or whatever after I've posted.  It drives me crazy when there are errors in my posts.  I just don't like not being able to go back and edit,  I guess I'll just have to pay a little more attention...Ray

do

you guys think that having the possibility to add a little "bio"section if one wanted to is both a) a good idea just so I don't have to keep retyping my "medical history" if it is relevant to my question/credibility b)possible to do with your software.

Btw, I noticed it now includes 7 active topics... Thanks :). I like it already.

how about adding a way you can follow a topic even if you don't post on it... because there are some that I haven't posted on because I have nothing to contribute, but enjoy the conversation/knowledge... but with out knowing your software, I don't know the extent of your capabilities

I love...

the expanded active topics section, just thought I'd let you know... how does everyone else feel about it being bumped up to 7... would 10 be too much?... just curious.

Another idea I had was to make a section somewhere that lists all of the mod/admin's because sometimes I have trouble finding their user names to report a problem/concern/bad behavior... or if it is possible, a way to alert all of the mods/admin if someone crosses the line because sometimes I don't know who is on at any given time/who is the best person to contact.

again, gots to agree with

again, gots to agree with dnn.... a little section for a self bio on your profile would be nice... of course not mandatory but it might help a new person seeking to speak directly to one that shares the same pains, problems, injuries...    keep up the great work Team Pharmer!!!
