I see a psychiatrist to deal w/PTSD, and another illness. Anyways, he asked how things were going on the Lexapro® and it wasn't well, that after a crappy time w/Cymbalta®   So I guess it is trying on every shoe n the store before you find one that fits... I looked here and no info?

Too bad about the Cymbalta . . .

Hiya bennie,

I've been Rx'ed Cymbalta for over 4 years now and I still love it. I realized it also had an analgesic effect within 3 months of using it. That was 2 years before the FDA approval for use as an analgesic and the ads started appearing all over the place. It continues to help with my perception of pain in the way that Nucynta, Lyrica, and Neurontin are advertised as doing but have failed with me.

Cynbalta is a Selective Seratonin and Norepinephrine Re-uptake Inhibitor, an SSNRI, whereas the other 3 are non-selective. Those 3  SNRIs all have given me painful side effects like stomach cramps, dizziness, and headaches. I realize that they work for some but, except for Neurontin, to me they are a very expensive headache . . . Q

well...

Yes, I am well. Well enough that due to my recent transformation I am in no longer in need of any anti-depressant, let alone two... I am slowly taking less and less of both. Last time I tried the "Frozen Tom" method and my ears were ringing like Grand Central Station (50's reference for those older than the rest of us) I had/have what the Dr. described as "Dog hearing" where I can/could hear things others couldn't. It just so happens that my wife's voice tone is in the area where I am almost deaf, so not all disabilities are badCool

It is also my pleasure to report that my fur son Sherman, a Weimaraner, has taken to either a low growl or a full on Wolf howl when during my daily meditation I get to another plane, so "others" are present so I feel I am getting closer and closer. ( I just read that over and before I thought this was all balogna read: baloney Segue: The proper spelling is coming over underlined in red, balogna hahaha)

Best part of the whole deal? It is FREE and per the Dr.s advice I get to rid myself of ambien, effexor and remeron. Then the pain meds..
