They are the same ac all the

They are the same ac all the other Gen. 20 Er, pink 20 on one side, OC on the other. They are mot OP or made like OP the above has onformation that it's a new brand for Preude. but i think there left over supply from then and thers Ethex brand was re-labled with the new name and the exprication date is about up. About 3 mo. ago at Wallgreens i got the Ethex brand and they were weak. I read on the internet that Predue gave them to wallgreens and they were not forthcomming abiut the exprition date, so i went to Kmart and got another brand that started with an, A, they worked real good, and the next mo. half of those and the oyher had a W marked on them, as they only had those in OC left. This mo. they identt have any only op. It might just be me as i was taking several Precotet this last mo. so i wanted some feedback from those that tried the new gen, brand,Apotex. Also do you know of another store in Boise, Idaho carrying a diff. gen OC ER 20 mg. I;m told Fredmyer in Nampa has some that are kinga Gray in color. never thie them. Alsi the FDA has a form they want feed back on the OP and other kinds of meds. the email came to me, RE: NEW OXYCONTIN OP. CDER DRUG INFODRUGINFO@fda.hh.gov alsogave me internet voluntry reporting form address. http://www.fda.gov/Safty/MedWatch/default.htm click on "Reporting Serious Problems to FDA" Dodnload a copy of the form, do it online  form 3500 .fax it to 1-800-FDA-0178 or mail it. Start with the first RE: email they sent me and you should get all the info they sent me and go from there. I would like any feedback on these new gen ect. It looks like Wallgreens and some others will be carring them look at the top of this page on the new Gen info

Drug Mfg's HAVE changed the Formula for OXYCONTIN?!?!

if "OP" is on 1 side & NOT "OC" regardless of strength including the 80mg dose,a new filler is used to prevent abusing the pill. A hammer won't break the pill. The filler contains an agent that prevents abuse of using Oxycontin. Only "OC"s still in the inventory system are left. Other MFRs are in the midst of doing the same. Roxy/oxycodone has not been affected yet. Many pain Dr's are starting to use a new class of pain meds have been approved by the FDA in recent months that will address pain without the ability of of getting high. Drugs like embeda is just 1 of them and available in some pharmacies. I have replaced up to 3 30mg oxycodones a day. It took me 2 weeks to slowly detox myself off oxycodone. I am still on 75mcg's of duragesic pain patch. The combo of embeda coupled with the patch works much better for ME than the oxycodone with pain patch did.

I didn't see 60mg Oxycontin

I didn't see 60mg Oxycontin CR on that list......I was on Oxycontin CR 40mg and 20mg q12h and had to change to MSContin 30mg q 8h and Fentanyl 75mcg 1q 72h(at different times not together) for several months due to insurance change and once I got the insurance fixed I was put back on the Oxycontin this month and given an Rx for 60mg q12h...didn't know they made a 60mg tab for one and I have no idea who makes it...but it works great...better than the 40 and 20 to make the 60mg q12h...maybe because I was not taking it for 4 months and my tolerance level lowered...so much easier just having to mess with 1 bottle of pills too.......

Will the maker of the Oxycontin CR 60mg be on the medication label or how do you tell who makes it? it is a large round dark red pill by the way-I will have to look and see what numbers/letters are on it...never thought to look...

I cant take it ...

I was taking 40 mg ER release in Jan. 2011 made by Apotex

Regarding Apotex brand:

I am currently taking OC 15mg immediate release by Actavis.  The immediate release worked great as part of my pain management along with the 40mg OC ER manufactured by Apotex, up until February when they changed to OPs (no pun intended).  I have an appointment tommorro.  My PCP added a 10mg op to the 40mg op and said if that didn't help he would add a 20mg op.  After reading all the stories and information on this site I really don't want to try another Purdue OP, since I know they do nothing for me. I also don't like the fact we were not informed of the change in the medication and the fact that it contains polymer and my body, it seems, is going through a type of withdrawal,  as I am not getting the same amount of medication that I have been taking on a regular basis.   Does anyone know if Perdue has a monopoly over the 40mg ER OCs or can we still get generic from Apotex?  I will probably end up with having more immediate releas

Generic Oxycontin

Listen, the generic Oxycontin tablets from Ethex and Apotex are nothing but the brand Oxycontin tablets everybody has been getting since 1995! They are not new! Apotex and Ethex's forms of the pill are THE EXACT SAME PILL!! They're just not gonna throw out millions of dollars, and you can't have a brand drug on the market but be selling two formulations, so Purdue Pharma is just letting Ethex and Apotex sell off the stock of the old brand O.C.s as generics which they are allowed to do cuz they manufactured them. Nothing was givin to Walgreens or any pharmacy, just simply selling off the remaining stock of pills the pharmacies, distributors and the manufacturer had remaining and it's actually a pretty slick way to do it. So do the people a service and don't give people information when you're so uninformed yourself cuz people believe anything they read anymore!! When the stock of old O.C.'s runs out, it's over, no more!! But when companies begin actually making their own formulations how Watson Labs had the oxycodone er tablets with the ABG imprint on them, they can make them more like original Oxycontin. The pills you got at Kmart and the ones at Walgreens were the exact same pills, could've been made in the same room, nothing to do with any expiration date people, just a slick way for Purdue to sell off their remaining O.C.'s while putting their new OP's on the market.
