Where are you seeing these ads?

Whenever I see

an ad (usually an online "pharmacy"),disguised as a post, I alert whichever Mod is online at the time. Usually it's Goat. They're taken care of immediately.

Oh, gotcha...

Before logging in, I've never seen any other ads except those by Google.

Ok posters

I have looked at the website mentioned above. And they only offer advice. Looks like anybody can be called an " expert" And answer questions ...here is some one asking for vicodin.

Removed link..g. No need to advertise.

Wow!

I just looked at the website you put up, Goat, and am amazed. I am also thinking I could be making some serious coin, since I am a medical 'expert' in real life. I looked at one question which made the responder to it $35, just by telling the woman to go see her gynecologist, which was a no-brainer as to what she asked! Are you kidding me? People actually go there and pay, when they could probably get a LOT of answers via a phone call to their own doc's office or a nurse/hospital hotline - any number of ways. That money would also cover a co-pay to SEE her doctor, or at least part of it. I really wouldn't consider getting involved in any online consultation or question site, but that did make me chuckle.....and question the people who use it. Gotta love the internet, eh?!Cool

I love the advice given in my link

The dr said...order your meds online ...that 35 must be shared with the website...I think people see the " vicodin" and 17 drs online and think it is an online ordering site...deception at it's finest.

Nearly all of the ads

I see are related to detox or drug treatment.  Pretty ironic for a Pain Management forum!!!  Yes,  I know, Pharmer is a pill I.d site. Still.  I think its pretty funny!

Really

It is not ironic. Would ads for sports equipment be a good idea for the adds shown here..when you are logged off?
Nope. Google knows where to put the right adds where they hit the target audience..chronic pain..meds..online medical help...sounds like a match. Again the forum has no control over googles choice of ads. ;)
