Hi all, I have a pain management doctor who I find is wonderful. He has me on 3 medications for sever pain from RSD. I take Cymbalta and two opiates, Nucynta which is Tapendatol and Hysingla which is extended release Hydrocodone. I also take a botanical called Kratom which acts on the opioid receptors. I am being told by friend that taking multiple opiates and or opiate like botanicals is a waste because they will all cancel each other out fighting for the same receptors. I have also read, that taking different ones can help cover more ground. Which is it, I can't find solid info on this. Anyone know? Thanks! Rich

Why do you not

Ask your pm doctor? Kratom has no legitimate medical use in this country, and is well known for causing problems such as psychosis and delusions.
Is your doctor aware you are using Kratom? I have heard of a number of patients being dismissed for using it.
If you are on both an extended release opiate and nucynta, I am confused why you would be using Kratom to avoid withdrawal since that is what it is used for primarily.

Huh??? Kratom is fantastic.

Huh??? Kratom is fantastic. No problems with it at all. Much safer than medication. My doctor is thrilled that I take it. He thinks it is great because it allows me to take much less medication. It really has been a life saver. One of the best pain killers and the only all natural pain killer I have have ever taken, that works. Nothing man made in kratom, just natural goodness. I call kratom trees, the giving trees.
Wonderful, safe botanical with great medicinal properties. I plan to use it for life. Has done so much good for me.

Even at Fox Chase in Philly, my doctor encouraged me to look into [filtered word] and kratom for pain relief. It really has been a life saver.

You have been misinformed. Sorry to hear that! You must work in the pharmaceutical industry. :(
