Mylan generic for Xanax

I have noticed that this generic does nothing anymore.  Walmart has told me there is some problem and they

are changing my refill to another generic, but didn't specifically say why.  I haven't picked it up yet so don't know

if new one will work like football shaped generic worked.  (I've never had the "real thing") so don't know how that'

would compare.  Help???

I hate to get pulled into the brand wars, but it has been brought up ad nauseum on this site as to how bad the Mylan brand alprazolam is.  It shocks me, because I use Mylan generic Klonopin and it is one of the best I've found; Activis is just as good.  Any brand of alprazolam besides Mylan has worked well for me in the past; personal favorite is DAVA brand as it can be used sublingually without too nasty of an aftertaste.  Any football-shaped generic or 2mg bar seems to work well.

Greenstone and Sandoz are said to be "the best" Xanax generic by people who take them regularly; I only take Xanax once in awhile and would not fill a Mylan brand generic.  Greenstone is supposed to come from the same manufacturer as name brand (Pfizer), as a branded generic.

Too True . . .

Even our #1 mod, Kirby, has stepped up and said that he perceives a definite weakness in the Mylan Alprazolam. My Pharm currently stocks PurePac which performs like what I'm hearing about Mylan. Is it possible, due to the large amount of benzos being reported on the streets, that they have bent the rules on generic equivalency? I would hate to think that this is true as who knows where that will stop once started. I have been satisfied 100% with 1mg of actavis, greenstone, etc. but, for a sleep aid, it takes 3mg of the purepac and that is all there is to it. Any comments . . . Q
